We are now looking for a driven Application Specialist to join our team in China. In this role, you’ll ensure the creation and delivery of optimal value for the customer, by matching our Total Solutions Offer to the customer needs, in line with both global SAM strategy and Local Business Plan in accordance with the Sales & Marketing Playbook. The application specialist has the technical responsibility towards the customer.

Your key responsibilities include:

Support Sales

• Fulfills total delivery of technical solution and provides sales support to end-customers and distributors in close cooperation with Account Managers to grow share of wallet at maintain, strengthen and develop customers and ensure that agreed priorities in the Account Plans and Customer Value Plans are implemented.
• Works in close cooperation with our customers to improve efficiency and productivity in their production (Manufacturing Wellness) and supports sales activities by thorough analysis of customer’s technical needs and pain-points.
• Implements projects and secures to close them with an order.
• Ensuring that Pipelines are worked on and support in closing pipelines. Sales Pipeline Management in CRM system “Dynamics 365” - Support Sales Management in providing accurate forecasts, budgets and targets as required
• Opportunity Management - Provide accurate and timely market information regarding customers and competitors in CRM system “Dynamics 365”
• Ambassador for driving new ways of working and future technology within his/her expertise field to ensure customers’ needs are fulfilled and profitable business is gained for Sandvik Coromant. 
• Builds relationships in customer production and production management.

Way of working - Technical Products & Services

• Fulfills and delivers expertise in relevant technical product and application solution, systems or services to customers and supports Account Managers, either on site or remotely, to maximize and extend business opportunities within specific scopes of competencies.
• Implements total delivery of technical solution and sales support to end-customers and distributors.
• Coordinates and organizes interaction between technical and commercial departments of the company, as well as relevant distributor services for projects in the Sales department/Cluster entrusted.
• Prepares integrated solutions for customers, this includes creating, maintaining or participating in Sales Pipelines and offers (e.g. TINA).
• Develops and delivers training to educate external partners, customers and internal employees in close cooperation with the Sandvik Coromant Centers and OM / R&D.
• Troubleshoots, investigates, and resolves technical problems that arise during or after implementation. 
• Develops test applications used for testing modules, including customer-specific components for key customers.
• Documents through PA reports the performance and savings of applied products and services performance and savings, whether successful or unsuccessful, in order to ensure Sandvik Coromant can develop and deliver the most competitive products on the market.
• Close cooperation and stakeholder management with hardware, software and systems design engineers to ensure that products and services are modified, configured and installed according to customer needs (Virtual Gibbs, MasterCam, etc.)
• Monitors competitor landscape and alternative solutions that can pose a risk to our business and share this information with the Account Managers, Regional Sales Managers and Offer Management / Research & Development.
• (if applicable – Support of customers with CAD/CAM programs / time studies / prove of concepts by difficult workpieces etc.)
• All activities are executed in accordance with the requirements of Quality Management System and Sales & Marketing Playbook. 
• Provides and correctly processes internal documents as determined by the company.

Your Profile:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or economics or a related field or equivalent experience
• Preferably five to seven years experiences with engineering cutting tools skills.
• Deep knowledge in relevant applications.
• Proven track record in delivering very good business results.
• Project management knowledge and experience.
• Knowledge and experience of managing external and internal customer relationships.
