About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, within the Sales & Events Department, the Events Manager is responsible for leading the coordination, execution and commercial performance of events, ensuring outstanding client satisfaction, operational excellence and full compliance with Mandarin Oriental standards. The role contributes to both the operational and financial performance of the Events function.

The role reports directly to the Director of Events and supervises the Events Sales Executive.

As Events Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Achieving annual catering and events revenue targets. 
• Managing key corporate and social event accounts. 
• Supporting pricing strategies, contract negotiations and yield management. 
• Preparing budgets, forecasts and pace analyses. 
• Leading and developing the Events Sales Executive. 
• Collaborating closely with Banquets, Culinary, Revenue Management and Marketing teams. 
• Ensuring flawless event contracting, planning and handover processes. 
• Identifying new business opportunities and strategic partnerships. 
• Maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction and brand standards. 
• Supporting the development of Commercial Plans related to Catering & Events. 
• Conducting market analysis and business development activities. 
• Managing client relationships and familiarisation visits. 
• Maintaining accurate records and activities within Delphi and Salesforce systems. 
• Maximising upselling opportunities and additional revenue streams.

As Events Manager, we expect from you:

• 4–6+ years of experience in hotel catering, events or event sales.  
• Proven track record in driving catering and group revenue.  
• Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.  
• Strong commercial acumen and results‑driven mindset.  
• Experience leading and developing team members.  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems.  
• Fluency in Spanish and English.  
• Full alignment with Mandarin Oriental values, Pillars and LQEs.

Salary. Annual gross salary divided into 14 payments, ranging from about 35K to 40K
