Service Delivery Coordinator - Aquatics

Are you passionate about aquatics, leadership, and making a meaningful impact? The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a motivated, mission-driven professional to join our team as a Service Delivery Coordinator - Aquatics at the Midlothian Family YMCA.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily aquatic operations during assigned shifts, ensuring safety, operational efficiency, and outstanding member and staff experiences
• Manage staff scheduling to ensure coverage while maintaining a standard 40-hour workweek
• Provide hands-on program delivery by lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons up to 35 hours per week
• Serve as a visible leader on deck, modeling YMCA standards and best practices
• Ensure all aquatic facilities, equipment, and program spaces-including pump room operations-are safe, clean, and well-maintained
• Uphold all safety protocols and respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing supervision of aquatic staff, including lifeguards and swim instructors
• Contribute to in-service trainings and continuous improvement efforts
• Maintain schedule flexibility, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of one year of aquatics-related experience
• Current Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications preferred (must obtain and maintain required certifications)
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to organize, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Proficiency with PC-based applications and scheduling tools
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and support multiple program areas

• Competitive salary range: $42,000 - $44,000
