About Knexus
At Knexus, we are at the forefront of AI development for the government, with a mission to revolutionize how the government serves its citizens. As a pioneer in the field, we've spent nearly two decades pushing the boundaries of what is possible with artificial intelligence. Our work has a direct, mission-driven impact, and our partnership with Google Cloud gives our team unparalleled access to the latest tools and expertise.
Position Overview
We're looking for a driven, creative student to join our team at Knexus as a Part-Time Marketing Intern. This is a hybrid/remote position designed to accommodate an active academic schedule (15–20 hours per week), with work hours aligned to the Eastern Time Zone. You will play a crucial role in supporting multichannel campaigns, content creation, and brand positioning for our AI solutions in the government contracting space. This position requires a student who is not only a strong communicator but also a proactive problem-solver with genuine curiosity about AI and digital marketing. You will be responsible for a range of tasks, from drafting campaign content to tracking performance metrics and supporting website updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Structured Content Creation: You will draft engaging written and visual content for corporate social channels, newsletters, and marketing collateral. Your work will follow brand guidelines and navigate a professional content approval process before anything goes live.
- AI-Driven Marketing: Actively use AI marketing tools to help draft, review, refine, and automate copy, workflows, and content pipelines.
- Storytelling & Interviews: Conduct virtual interviews with internal subject matter experts and leadership to extract insights, using those conversations to generate original, high-impact marketing content.
- Web & Digital Campaigns: Assist the team in making regular website updates, staging content, and building optimized landing pages to capture leads and support specific campaigns.
- Events & Govcon Market Intelligence: Research trends within the government technology and AI landscapes. When available and schedules permit, you may attend industry events and conferences to represent the brand and gather on-the-ground content.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and report on key digital performance metrics (website traffic, email campaign performance, social engagement) to help the team identify optimization opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Academic Enrollment: Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.
- Availability: Ability to commit 15 to 20 hours per week during standard business operating hours, with scheduled accommodations for midterms and final exams.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex tech concepts into clear, engaging copy.
- Digital & Design Literacy: Familiarity with modern social media platforms (especially LinkedIn) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides). Figma experience is a plus but not required-training will be provided.
- Work Ethic & Curiosity: Proactive, self-motivated mindset with a genuine interest in artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and learning the govcon space.
- Preferred (not required): Prior internship, student organization, or freelance experience in content creation, copywriting, or social media management; exposure to email marketing platforms, content management systems (e.g., WordPress), or basic SEO principles
