Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in the airline and travel industry to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders, analyzing data, and proposing effective solutions to improve business processes. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including IT, sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure the successful implementation of solutions that enhance the B2B channel experience and overall operational efficiency.
Must Have Skillsets (Mandatory)
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the airline or travel industry.
- Domain Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of the airline industry, B2B channel dynamics, airline distribution systems, travel agency operations, and revenue management.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Excel, data visualization tools).
- Familiarity with airline reservation systems, global distribution systems (GDS) like Amadeus, Sabre, or Travelport, and other relevant software.
- Requirements Gathering:
- Ability to effectively gather, document, and translate business requirements from diverse stakeholders, including airlines and travel agencies.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and concisely.
Good to Have Skillsets (Optional)
- Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail.
- Project Management:
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with Departure Control Systems (DCS), Resource Management Systems (RMS), and self-service technologies.
- Experience in user acceptance testing (UAT) and providing ongoing support to end-users.
- Training and Documentation:
- Skills in developing training materials and documentation for end-users.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience in business analysis within the airline or travel industry.
- Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, conducting data analysis, and proposing solutions.
- Collaboration Skills:
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication between business and IT teams.
- Proactive Approach:
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a passion for continuous learning and professional development.
