Blow Molding Operations Manager – McDonough, GA
We are seeking an experienced Blow Molding Operations Manager to join a well-established, high-volume plastics manufacturing operation in the Atlanta, GA area.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong extrusion blow molding experience who can lead production teams while also providing technical expertise on the manufacturing floor. If you are a Process or Manufacturing Engineer ready to move into Management - this is a good fit as well.
Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day blow molding production and manufacturing activities

Drive improvements in safety, quality, productivity, scrap and equipment uptime

Troubleshoot molding processes, equipment and tooling issues

Optimize process parameters and manufacturing performance
-
Partner closely with maintenance, quality and other plant functions

Develop supervisors, technicians and production personnel

Support new product introductions, equipment installations and continuous improvement projects
Background We’re Looking For
-
7+ years of extrusion blow molding/manufacturing experience
-
Previous manufacturing leadership experience
-
Strong hands-on process troubleshooting capabilities
-
Experience with Uniloy reciprocating screw and/or Bekum shuttle blow molding equipment
-
Experience manufacturing HDPE bottles or similar rigid plastic packaging
-
Knowledge of molds, tooling, parison control and process optimization
-
Demonstrated success improving uptime, scrap, OEE and overall manufacturing performance
-
Lean/continuous improvement experience
A technical degree is preferred, although significant hands-on blow molding experience will also be considered.
