The MICE and Staff Leisure Product Manager is responsible for delivering end-to-end event planning and travel services for FirstRand Group brands, with a focus on Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE). The role partners closely with Marketing teams and business units to coordinate and execute seamless, high-quality events, while also managing staff leisure (bleisure) travel services.This role ensures efficient supplier management, cost control, and exceptional service delivery, contributing to increased transaction volumes and revenue growth through expanded leisure travel offerings.

Are you someone who can:
• Plan, design, and execute events from concept through to completion within
agreed timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate all aspects of event delivery, ensuring high-quality execution aligned with business objectives.
• Manage logistics including venues, transportation, accommodation, catering,
décor, entertainment, and equipment.
• Work closely with Marketing teams, business units, and internal stakeholders to understand event objectives and requirements.
• Provide ongoing communication and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
• Deliver regular updates and post-event reports to stakeholders.
• Source, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships (venues, travel providers, service vendors).
• Ensure cost-effective while maintaining service quality.
• Oversee contracts and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Manage transportation logistics for all events, including those led by Marketing teams.
• Monitor and control event budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and cost
optimisation.
• Maintain inventory pages and financial oversight for all event-related spend.
• Facilitate and manage internal staff leisure travel bookings.
• Provide personalised, high-quality travel experiences for employees.
• Identify opportunities to grow transactions and increase commission revenue.
• Ensure compliance with legal, health and safety, and insurance requirements.
• Identify potential risks and proactively resolve issues before and during events.
• Oversee all on-the-day event operations, addressing any issues promptly.
• Coordinate all stakeholders, suppliers, and service providers on-site.
• Conduct market research and identify new event opportunities.
• Propose enhancements to improve service delivery and event quality.
• Perform post-event evaluations and provide insights for continuous improvement.
You will be an ideal candidate if you have:
Tourism or Business Admin Diploma
IT Diploma or certifications (advantageous)
International Relations Qualification Degree
Information security awareness certification
Min 3 years Proven experience in event planning, MICE, or travel management.
Min 3 years Strong project management and organisational skills.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost controls.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
