Business Development Executive
Department: Business Development
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Duleek
Compensation: €30,000 - €31,000 / year
Description
We deliver products that help accountants, payroll bureaus, and businesses across the UK and Ireland work smarter and win more. Our software handles the complexity so our customers can focus on what matters most — serving their clients and growing their practices.
We believe understanding is the difference between working and winning.
The Opportunity
Bright is expanding its commercial team and this role sits at the centre of that growth. The Business Development Executive is the first point of contact for prospective customers - qualifying opportunities, building relationships, and connecting businesses to Bright's accounting solutions across Ireland and the UK.
You will play a key role in our driving company growth and success working within the Accountancy Sales team alongside Account Executives, success here is measured in activity, pipeline quality, and revenue contribution.
What You'll Do
- Contact and prospect leads with the objective of identifying and developing new business opportunities across Ireland and the UK.
- Act as the first point of contact for all new prospects — qualifying fit, establishing credibility, and building rapport.
- Conduct live product demonstrations by phone and online webinar.
- Work closely with the Accountancy Sales team to progress and hand off qualified opportunities.
- Fact-find and gather key data from prospects to support the sales process.
- Achieve and exceed activity and revenue targets on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the CRM system throughout the sales cycle.
- Build a solid working knowledge of Bright's software portfolio to handle prospect questions with confidence.
- Take and process orders accurately and in a timely manner.
What We're Looking For
- At least one year of experience in a sales or business development role.
- A demonstrable track record of achieving or exceeding targets.
- Strong communication skills — clear, confident, and professional in both written and verbal form.
- Excellent telephone manner and comfort presenting via video or online webinar.
- A self-motivated, target-driven approach with a genuine appetite to develop in sales.
- Comfortable working alongside AI tools; curious about how technology can make you better at your job.
- A third-level qualification in business, sales, or a related discipline.
- Experience using a CRM system to manage pipeline and activity records.
- Familiarity with accounting, payroll, or practice management software.
Working At Bright
The culture is collaborative and human. Bright is not a small company anymore, but it still feels like one — in the best way. People are genuinely looked after, opinions are heard, and the team you work with will invest in your success.
There is real autonomy here, fast growth, and significant investment in AI and new technology. For people who want to move quickly, develop commercially, and be part of something that is genuinely building, this is a strong place to do it.
It's a place where curious people thrive.
