Overview
University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 200 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.
Responsibilities
University Radiology has a Lead Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist opportunity available in our Teaneck, NJ Imaging office, Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, rotating Saturdays
Responsibilities
- Fulfills all requirements listed under Staff Technologist
- Liaison between radiologists and clinical staff.
- Assists the Scheduling Department overseeing room schedules in the departments.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Responsible for ensuring effective communication with vendors and service personnel.
- Responsible for patient safety including prescreening for contraindications and aseptic injection.
- Keeps up to date with established departmental policies and procedures including informing the staff.
- Obtains ACR certification for modalities.
- Participates in quality assurance activities completing all required documentation for the continuous improvement of patient care.
- Assists with the maintenance of supplies and equipment. Notifies team members regarding equipment downtime.
- Proficient in all software systems including image and report management or reproduction.
- Maintains technical competency through continued education.
- Work schedule may change requiring evening or weekend shift based on staffing, volume and unexpected issues.
- Provides feedback to management and may be required to complete employee performance evaluations.
- Performs additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills.
- Graduate of accredited program.
- Must have appropriate modality certification and current CPR
- Requires 5 years’ experience as a registered technologist.
- Must have excellent customer service and leadership skills.
