What You Will Do
The Director of Purchasing is responsible for leading the Purchasing, Receiving, and Storeroom operations to ensure all hotel departments have the supplies and resources needed to deliver exceptional service. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this leadership role drives procurement strategy, vendor relationships, inventory management, cost control, capital planning, and compliance while supporting operational excellence across the hotel. Additionally, develop and implement sustainable procurement strategies aligned with the hotel's Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) objectives, brand standards, and corporate sustainability commitments. 

 

What You Bring

• Minimum five years of hotel purchasing experience, including at least two years in a Director of Purchasing or comparable leadership role .

• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost-control experience within a hospitality environment.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop teams, influence stakeholders, and build strong cross-functional relationships.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Fluent in English and Arabic (spoken and written).

• Preferably knowledgeable about the GCC and Kuwait markets, with an established understanding of local suppliers, sourcing practices, and market dynamics.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and procurement systems as such BirchStreet and/or Microsoft D365
