Your Role:  

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Senior Manager Corporate Development to join Siegfried's Global Corporate Development team, based in Zofingen, Switzerland.

Reporting to the Global Head of Corporate Development and partnering closely with Siegfried's Executive Committee and senior leadership team, you will help shape the company's long-term strategic direction and lead the execution of its highest-priority enterprise initiatives across our global manufacturing network.

This is not a traditional Corporate Development or M&A execution role. Instead, you will serve as an internal strategy consultant and transformation leader, driving enterprise-wide strategic initiatives that create sustainable value across the business. From defining long-term manufacturing network strategies and optimizing our global footprint to leading transformation programs and driving value creation following acquisitions, you will solve some of the company's most important strategic challenges.

This position offers an exceptional amount of visibility and executive exposure. It is designed for an experienced strategy professional who is ready to operate as a trusted advisor to Siegfried's Executive Committee and senior leaders, shape enterprise-wide decisions and lead strategic initiatives with global impact.

Your responsibilities:

Shape Corporate Strategy

-Lead the development and evolution of business strategies in partnership with executive leadership, functional heads, site heads, and other key stakeholders across the organization.

-Identify, frame and prioritize strategic value creation opportunities based on data and analytics.

-Lead hypothesis-driven problem solving, propose innovative and creative solutions.

-Shape executive decision-making by developing and assessing strategic options, recommendations, and implementation roadmaps.


Lead Enterprise Transformation

-Translate strategic priorities and business needs into actionable initiatives with clear scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.

-Own the successful delivery of enterprise-wide strategic programs and cross-functional transformation initiatives from strategy formulation through implementation and value realization.

-Establish governance structures and ensure disciplined execution across multiple workstreams and business functions.


Drive Value Creation

-Lead value creation initiatives that improve operational and financial performance across the organization.

-Drive cost transformation, productivity improvement and business excellence programs.

-Lead value creation and synergy realization following acquisitions, ensuring benefits are identified, executed and sustainably captured.

-Develop business cases, monitor benefit realization and ensure strategic initiatives deliver measurable business impact.


Partner with Executive Leadership

-Own the delivery of Siegfried's highest-priority strategic initiatives.

-Develop executive-level recommendations, analyses and presentations supporting critical business decisions.

-Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Committee and senior business leaders on complex strategic topics, guiding stakeholders through complex decisions and change processes.

-Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across functions and sites to identify, prioritize and select strategic project opportunities.

-Lead executive workshops and facilitate alignment on critical strategic decisions. Ensure buy-in from senior leaders and cross-functional teams to enable seamless project execution.

-Coordinate collaboration and communication between executive sponsors, steering committees and project teams to ensure transparency, alignment and timely escalation of risks or issues

You are an exceptional problem solver who enjoys tackling complex business challenges with intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor and a strong bias for execution. You combine the strategic thinking of a top-tier consultant with the pragmatism required to drive implementation in a global manufacturing environment. You are equally comfortable developing enterprise strategy, leading cross-functional programs and influencing executive decision-making. Most importantly, you thrive in a "high IQ, low ego" environment where the quality of ideas and outputs – not hierarchy – is the key to delivering meaningful business outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

 

- Master's degree in Science, Engineering, Finance, or related quantitative discipline.
 

- Minimum 3 years' experience gained in one or more of the following:

• Top-tier management consulting (e.g., BCG, Bain or McKinsey), ideally at Consultant or Engagement Manager/Project Leader level.

• Strategy consulting within a leading Big Four advisory practice.

• Corporate strategy, transformation, or strategic program management.
   

-At least 4 years demonstrated experience in manufacturing industries (e.g., pharma, chemicals, industrial goods, medtech). CDMO or pharmaceutical/GMP manufacturing experience is a strong advantage
 

-Fluent in English; German, Spanish or French would be a plus

• Excellent communication and executive presentation skills. Capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels – from shop floor teams to senior executives.

• Strong commercial acumen and sound business judgement. Experience developing business cases and supporting strategic investment decisions.

• High degree of ownership, resilience and execution focus.

• Versatile and adaptable, eager to work across diverse topics and rapidly learn new subject matter.

• Comfortable collaborating in cross-functional teams spanning Business Development, Technical Operations, Finance, Engineering, R&D, IT and others.
