Financial Manager

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Financial Manager to take ownership of end-to-end financial reporting, variance analysis, tax compliance, and budgeting. In this role, you will play a critical part in providing key financial insights directly to senior leadership, optimizing financial controls, and mentoring a talented finance team.

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Review monthly management accounts, analyze material variances, prepare flash reports, and assemble comprehensive quarterly reporting packs for head office.
• Balance Sheet Governance: Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, month-end journals, accruals, and monthly provision calculations across group entities.
• Payments & Taxation: Review and approve internal, external, and forex payment releases; oversee VAT reconciliations (VAT201) and corporate tax calculations.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting in close alignment with operational heads.
• Audit Leadership & Controls: Act as the primary liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring robust internal financial controls are maintained and continually enhanced.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner seamlessly with operational departments, executive management, and head office consolidations to resolve queries and advise on accounting treatments.
• Leadership & Process Improvement: Mentor and upskill the accounting team, fostering a supportive environment while identifying ways to streamline financial processes and boost efficiency.

• CA(SA), BCom (Hons) in Financial Accounting, or an equivalent post-graduate financial qualification.
• Minimum 8–10 years of solid financial reporting experience within a corporate or complex entity structure.
• Deep knowledge of technical accounting principles, balance sheet management, VAT, and corporate tax compliance.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and experience working with enterprise accounting systems.
• High resilience and ability to perform effectively within a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
