Description
Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business, is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to take ownership of the finance function and provide commercial and operational financial leadership across the business
This is a broad, hands-on role suited to an experienced finance professional who enjoys working across financial reporting, budgeting, inventory, fixed assets, tax compliance, ERP systems administration and continuous process improvement within a manufacturing environment
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong financial controls
• Prepare monthly management accounts, reconciliations and financial analysis
• Manage annual budgets, forecasting and cash flow planning
• Oversee debtors, creditors, inventory, fixed assets and general ledger
• Review landed costing, stock variances and inventory valuations
• Manage VAT, EMP201, provisional tax and statutory submissions
• Coordinate external audits, BEE audits, ISO audits and tax reviews
• Maintain the fixed asset register and capital expenditure reporting
• Support import transactions and foreign supplier payments
• Maintain ERP master data and financial module integrity
• Review payroll reconciliations and employee cost reporting
• Drive process improvements, SOPs and internal controls
• Lead and develop the finance team
Minimum Requirements
• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification
• 5–8 years' experience in a Financial Manager or Senior Financial Accountant role
• Manufacturing/industrial experience
• Strong management accounting, costing and inventory knowledge
• Tax and statutory compliance experience
• Advanced Excel and ERP experience (Syspro advantageous)
• Excellent analytical and leadership skills
