At HUB24, we're looking for an AI Associate to join our Incubator team and help build innovative AI solutions that transform the financial advice industry.
This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional or recent graduate to work alongside experienced engineers, data specialists and AI practitioners, developing client-facing and internal AI applications that create meaningful business impact. You'll gain hands-on experience designing, building and supporting AI-powered products while continuously developing your technical and professional capabilities.
What you’ll be doing
AI Solution Development
- Develop and enhance AI-powered applications that support financial advisers, clients and internal teams.
- Build solutions using large language models (LLMs), AI agents, machine learning, workflow systems and data-driven technologies.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code, primarily using Python.
- Participate in solution design, code reviews, testing and technical discussions.
- Assist with deploying, monitoring and improving AI products and services.
- Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, scalable and aligned to best engineering practices.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with software engineers, data specialists, product teams and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with financial advice subject matter experts to understand user needs and business challenges.
- Contribute to technical problem-solving and innovation initiatives across the Incubator team.
- Communicate progress, risks and insights effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Operational Support & Continuous Improvement
- Support the ongoing operation and enhancement of AI applications and workflows.
- Investigate technical issues, perform root-cause analysis and contribute to solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation, knowledge sharing and development standards.
- Participate in team planning, retrospectives, demonstrations and continuous improvement activities.
Learning & Development
- Engage in coaching, mentoring and technical development opportunities.
- Seek feedback and continuously improve technical capability and engineering practices.
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies, tools and industry trends.
- Share knowledge and contribute positively to the team's learning culture.
About You
You are naturally curious, enjoy solving complex problems and have a strong interest in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. You're collaborative, proactive and eager to learn from experienced professionals while contributing your own ideas and perspectives.
What you bring
You don’t need to tick every box, but experience in the below will set you up for success.
Experience & Skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with a passion for AI and technology.
- Foundational Python programming skills.
- Understanding of software engineering principles, including Git and version control.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them to practical challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable
- Exposure to machine learning, generative AI and large language models.
- Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS or Azure.
- Personal, academic or open-source projects demonstrating an interest in AI, software engineering or complex systems.
