Description
Land O'Lakes Dairy Foods Finance Team is seeking a strategic and result-oriented Finance Manager to support our Milk Powders business. In this individual contributor role, you will provide strategic financial leadership, rigorous performance insight, and operational decision support to senior leaders and cross- functional partners. In addition, you will partner closely with the Global Dairy Ingredients Senior Finance Manager to lead routine monthly financial reporting and variance analysis for the business, facilitate cross-functional risk-management discussions, and support key growth strategies through advanced modeling and actionable insights.
This role is located at our Arden Hills, MN corporate headquarters (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in office each week)
Key responsibilities include:
- Own monthly reporting and analysis of key financial and operational performance drivers, with emphasis on root causes and forward-looking implications
- Lead the annual budget, periodic forecast, and long-range planning processes for the Milk Powders business, including alignment of key assumptions across functional leaders
- Facilitate cross-functional risk-management discussions, framing financial exposures, market scenario analysis, and recommended action steps for leadership consideration
- Serve as a key finance partner to internal stakeholders including the Director of Sales and sales team, supply chain, supply chain finance, risk management, planning, strategic ops, marketing, and Dairy Accounting
- Partner with business leadership to shape financial priorities, evaluate strategic alternatives, build out financial business cases for capital investments, and connect near-term operating decisions to long-range business objectives.
- Collaborate with milk supply team on milk balancing decisions as it relates to pricing for ultrafiltered milk and condensed skim products
Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field is required. MBA or CPA desired.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience required.
- Advanced skills in financial return modeling across both the P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Advanced Excel Skills. Hyperion and/or OneStream highly desired.
- Previous work experience supporting agriculture industry and commodity market environment preferred

- Self-starter with a bias for action, able to work independently as finance partner within a matrixed operating environment.
$107,680-$161,520. In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges.
