What does the LOB do?: Centralized PMO delivering all infrastructure-related projects across the bank, supporting all lines of business. This team specifically focuses on security-related projects, including cybersecurity, corporate security, and end user security

What project will this contractor be working on? Cybersecurity projects, multiple sub streams of the cybersecurity that will be managed
Team Size? 18-20 team members
Who Will the Candidate Be Working with on a Daily Basis? Security & infrastructure engineering teams, Intake & solution design teams, business sponsors and business leads, third-party vendors
How many years of experience? 8-10 years
Job Description:
• Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing.
• Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope.
• Effectively oversee project staff (direct reports, matrixed reports, contractors, and interns), delegating work to appropriate leads.
• Efficiently communicate to stakeholders to manage expectations and project progress.
• Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized.
• Ensure that necessary risk assessments are continually reviewed and monitored and proactively addressed in a timely fashion.
• Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures.
• Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.
• Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors.
• Manage medium to large scale projects working collaboratively with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources.
• Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising.
• Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements.
• Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses.
• Successfully plan, execute, control and close projects against defined scope and budget using CIBC procedures and policies.
Must Have Requirement:
1. IT Project Manager experience – 8+ years
2. Strong project budget management background - 8+ years
3. Infrastructure project management experience - 8+ years
4. Experience with managing waterfall/Agile projects – 8+ years
5. Experience with SharePoint/Jira and Confluence – 5 years
6. Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies – 5+ years
7. Experience with Cyber security project delivery – 5+ years
8. Strong experience with project governance
Nice to Have:
1. PMP Certification
2. Familiarity with ServiceNow for ITSM
3. Working knowledge of security and cloud technologies
4. Prior experience using Planview or Clarity as a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool
5. Cyber security technologies certification or working towards certification
Soft Skills:
Strong Communication skills
Strong stake holder management experience
Ability to present to VP/SVP level executives
Disqualifiers:
Candidates with purely business project management backgrounds - require tech background
No infrastructure project management experience
Lack of exposure to technical / security environments
