2nd Shift - Palletizer

SHIFT HOURS:

• 2nd Shift: 4:25 pm-Finish

JOB INCENTIVES:

• Pay starting at $21.60/hr

• Benefits available on Day 1

• On-the-job training

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Primarily responsible for loading or stacking boxed product onto pallets in required formation and/or weight. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:                                 

• Under general supervision, load and organize pallets according to customer or company requirements using pallet jacks or by manually lifting product
• Verify pallets are loaded according to work order
• Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Ability to read work orders
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required.)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Stand up to 8 hours.
• Lift up to 60 lbs.
• Exposure to wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)
• Will be exposed to noise of > 85 decibels, CO2 and moving production equipment
• Work around raw, live animal odors
