We’re hiring a QC Lab Technician to support our Quality Control and production teams by testing materials, maintaining lab standards, and ensuring our products meet specifications. Job Responsibilities
- Perform Quality Control testing on asphalt and aggregate materials
- Collect, prepare, and evaluate material samples (up to 50 lbs)
- Inspect truck beds and materials for quality and compliance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient QC laboratory
- Mix and match product colors to customer specifications
- Complete required Quality Control documentation
- Assist with additional lab or plant duties as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Quality Control, lab, manufacturing, or construction materials experience preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn — training provided
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Flexible to work extended hours during peak production seasons
Work Environment
This role offers variety — no sitting at a desk all day
- Combination of indoor lab and outdoor plant work
- Exposure to varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust)
- Safety-focused manufacturing environment
- Occasional interaction with heavy equipment and machinery
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Able to shovel dense or wet material when necessary
