Description
Position Summary
The Analyst will support the Office of the CIO (OCIO) across strategic portfolio management (SPM), organizational change management (OCM), and merger & acquisition (M&A) projects and initiatives. Working closely with the OCIO team, IT leaders, and project teams, this role provides analysis, reporting, governance, change management, and project coordination to help ensure technology investments, transformation programs, and change initiatives align with business objectives and deliver measurable value.
This role is well suited for a proactive, highly organized individual who takes ownership, anticipates needs, and is comfortable driving work forward in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment. The Analyst will be expected to identify gaps and opportunities, propose solutions, follow through on actions and decisions, and proactively engage stakeholders to obtain the information and inputs needed to keep initiatives moving.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute and coordinate strategic portfolio management activities, including demand management, portfolio reporting, risk monitoring, and value realization to help ensure technology investments deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Develop and maintain portfolio dashboards, executive reporting, governance and decision materials, and action and dependency tracking that provide visibility into strategic initiatives, portfolio performance, organizational priorities, risks, and decisions required.
- Perform data analysis and develop actionable insights and recommendations from project and portfolio data, identifying trends, risks, gaps, and opportunities for leadership.
- Drive stakeholder follow-through by gathering and validating inputs, tracking actions and decisions, following up on outstanding items, and helping ensure commitments and deadlines are brought through to completion.
- Coordinate and execute organizational change management activities, including stakeholder analysis, change planning, communications, change networks, training coordination, readiness activities, and adoption measurement.
- Establish and maintain OCM processes and tools, including stakeholder tracking, communication calendars, change impact assessments, feedback mechanisms, and adoption reporting.
- Coordinate and deliver analysis and reporting for M&A integration activities, including integration planning, cost tracking, status and KPI reporting, and coordination across IT and Information Security workstreams.
- Identify process gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement, proactively developing recommendations and potential solutions rather than solely escalating issues.
- Support OCIO leadership on ad hoc analyses, presentations, planning activities, and cross-functional initiatives, taking increasing ownership of workstreams as experience and context grow.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 2–3 years of experience in management consulting, IT project/portfolio management, organizational change management, business analysis, or related disciplines, or equivalent demonstrated capability.
- Strong analytical foundation with experience in data analysis, structured problem solving, and translating data into clear business insights.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the confidence and judgment to engage productively with IT leaders and senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated initiative and ownership, with the ability to anticipate needs, progress work independently where appropriate, and follow through on commitments.
- Strong follow-up and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to respectfully drive others for inputs, decisions, and deliverables while maintaining positive working relationships.
- Ability to identify problems and opportunities and bring forward thoughtful recommendations and potential solutions.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and a bias toward action.
- High degree of intellectual curiosity, continuous learning and growth mindset, and eagerness to solve unfamiliar problems.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop clear, concise, and well-formatted business and executive materials.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and sensitive information, exercising sound judgment and discretion, managing multiple competing priorities, and adapting as priorities evolve in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), PMO, or demand management processes.
- Familiarity with organizational change management methodologies and tools.
