Description
Do you want to strengthen Noroff’s market position and create measurable results?
Noroff School of technology and digital media offers Vocational College diploma and Bachelor’s degree programs in technology and digital disciplines. Noroff is part of Galileo Global Education, one of Europe’s largest private higher education groups. The working world is changing rapidly, and we continue to develop our educational offerings to meet emerging competency needs.
As Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for further developing Noroff’s market position and driving growth in qualified applications, with a clear focus on return on marketing investments. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, report directly to the CEO, and are a member of Noroff’s executive management team.
The position can be based in Oslo or Kristiansand. Both locations are equally suitable options, and our priority is finding the right candidate.
Your Responsibilities
- Own the marketing budget and ensure measurable return on investment through increased qualified applications and efficient use of marketing channels.
- Develop and implement the marketing strategy and annual marketing plan, while further strengthening a clear and unified Noroff brand.
- Lead marketing activities from the first point of contact through submitted application, working closely with the sales and admissions teams, who continue the process through student enrollment.
- Lead digital marketing activities across paid channels, search engine optimization (SEO), and social media, ensuring visibility in both traditional search engines and AI-based answer platforms.
- Lead content production through the internal team and external agencies, while leveraging AI to improve quality and efficiency.
- Be responsible for the commercial performance of noroff.no and related landing pages.
- Provide market insights to support the development of the educational portfolio and lead the marketing of new educational programs.
- Lead and develop the marketing team, with full people management responsibility for the department.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- At least 8-10 years of experience in marketing, including several years of leadership experience with people management and budget responsibility.
- Recent and relevant leadership experience, with at least three of the last five years spent in a management role responsible for marketing budgets and measurable commercial results.
- Proven responsibility for marketing budgets with measurable outcomes, such as cost per lead or application, conversion rates, and return on marketing investment (ROMI).
- Experience marketing products or services that involve a considered decision-making process, such as education, subscription-based services, or financial services.
- Hands-on experience leading performance marketing, marketing automation, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and content production within an organization.
- Practical experience using AI in marketing and a strong understanding of how AI is changing search behavior and customer decision-making.
- Relevant higher education. Extensive relevant experience may compensate for formal educational requirements.
- Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
Knowledge of the Norwegian education market, experience from regulated industries, international organizations, and change management or brand repositioning initiatives will be considered an advantage.
Who Are You?
You are analytical and commercially minded, able to set a clear direction and ensure effective execution. As a leader, you build trust, develop your team members, and collaborate effectively across functions and disciplines.
We Offer
- A key leadership role with significant influence on Noroff’s development and market position.
- The opportunity to market educational programs that provide people with new skills and career opportunities.
- Professional collaboration with colleagues across Noroff and Galileo Global Education.
- Five weeks of vacation, plus time off during the Christmas holiday period, Easter, and designated bridging days.
- Competitive compensation and benefits.

The preferred start date is as soon as possible, ideally by 1 March 2027. Some travel between office locations and to group-wide meetings should be expected.
