Manager, Marketing Operations — Bangalore, India
About the Role
Marketing Operations at Calix is where strategy becomes execution. We're rebuilding the engine — a new marketing automation platform, an AI-assisted intent and enrichment layer, and an analytics foundation that ties every campaign to pipeline. We're looking for a Manager of Marketing Operations to lead that work from our Bangalore CIDC hub.
You'll lead and grow a team responsible for the day-to-day health of our martech stack — Salesforce Marketing Cloud, 6sense, Salesforce CRM — while owning the strategic projects that expand what the stack can do, and the operating model that lets the work scale. You'll be hands-on enough to unblock your team on a segmentation build or a data quality issue, and senior enough to make sure that problem doesn't recur. If you want a role where you can shape a global marketing operations function rather than maintain one, this is it.
What You'll Do
Lead and develop the team
- Manage, coach, and grow a team of marketing operations professionals in India, covering platform administration, campaign execution, list management, and data operations
- Set clear ownership, expectations, and quality standards; build capability so execution work scales without escalation
- Partner with global MOps leadership and cross-functional stakeholders across Demand Generation, Field Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success
Build the operating model that scales production
- Design and maintain reusable assets in Salesforce Marketing Cloud — email and journey templates, modular content blocks, standardized data extensions, and pre-built audience logic — that enable junior and less technical team members to execute independently
- Establish naming conventions, QA checklists, approval workflows, and documentation that make campaign production repeatable and low-risk
- Create enablement materials and training paths that upskill the team and reduce dependency on senior technical resources
- Continuously identify manual, high-touch work and convert it into templated or automated processes
Own the platforms
- Serve as senior SME for Salesforce Marketing Cloud — journeys, data extensions, audience segmentation, deliverability, governance, and integration with Salesforce CRM
- Own 6sense administration and strategy: intent keyword planning, audience/segment design, account and contact enrichment, and ABM activation
- Ensure campaign infrastructure, lead routing, and attribution data flow cleanly between MAP, CRM, and reporting layers
Drive data quality and execution rigor
- Own marketing data integrity — list imports, normalization, enrichment, deduplication, and pre-activation QA
- Build repeatable, documented processes that reduce manual effort and downstream reporting errors
- Establish governance for consent, data standards, and campaign taxonomy
Deliver strategic projects
- Lead multi-system, multi-stakeholder projects from requirements through launch and adoption
- Identify and implement automation and AI opportunities that improve speed, accuracy, and capacity
- Triage and prioritize incoming work through project management tooling, balancing operational demand against strategic initiatives
What You Bring
Required
- 8+ years in marketing operations, with demonstrated progression into leadership or team lead responsibility
- Deep, hands-on expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud — you've built and owned it, not just used it
- Proven track record building scalable operating models: templates, standards, and documented processes that enable a broader team to execute
- Strong 6sense experience across intent, segmentation, and enrichment
- Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM as it relates to campaigns, lead lifecycle, routing, and attribution
- Experience using project management tools to intake, triage, and prioritize marketing work
- Practical experience applying AI tools to marketing operations — enrichment, QA, content, agents, or workflow automation
- Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable working with senior stakeholders across geographies
- Willingness to work US Eastern hours to overlap with the global marketing team
Preferred
- Experience with Pardot / Marketing Cloud Account Engagement or other enterprise MAPs (Marketo, HubSpot); migration experience is a strong plus
- Salesforce Data Cloud experience
- Exposure to RPA or automation platforms and data hygiene/enrichment tooling
- Adobe Workfront administration
- Power BI or comparable BI tooling
- Experience supporting a global B2B technology or SaaS marketing organization
