Responsibilities
As a Project Accountant - Development with Hines, you will be responsibile for:
Interface between the property managers' external rental and financial accounting teams and the respective investors
Review and plausibility checks of external monthly accounting data, quarterly and annual financial statements, including variance analysis and commentary
Point of contact for annual financial statement auditors and tax advisors
Preparation or review of monthly VAT advance returns
Support in the preparation of tax returns by the external tax advisor and the corresponding reviews
Cash management and reporting
Support and point of contact for operational asset management
Various analyses and ad hoc tasks for different stakeholders
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements include:
- Completed degree and initial professional experience in accounting / controlling, preferably in real estate or tax advisory / audit
- Relevant experience working with different accounting systems
- Strong IT skills in all common MS Office products, especially Excel
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
- Analytical mindset and a strong affinity for numbers
- Structured approach, strong organizational skills, flexibility, and highly developed teamwork and communication skills
