Senior Product Developer | Food & Confectionery

Are you a creative foodie who loves spotting the next big trend? Do you enjoy taking an idea from initial concept through to seeing it on the shelves of some of the UK's biggest retailers?

We're looking to find a talented and enthusiastic Senior Product Developer to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with food product development experience who wants to combine creativity, commercial thinking, and customer relationships in a varied, hands-on role.

What will you be doing?

You'll play a key role in bringing exciting new food and confectionery products to market, working closely with manufacturers, suppliers and major retail customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing product development projects from initial ideas and trend research through to product samples, presentations and launch.

Building strong relationships with customers, retailers and manufacturing partners across the UK and Europe.

Identifying emerging food trends, consumer insights and exciting opportunities for new product ranges.

Taking ownership of customer accounts and supporting future category and range development.

Presenting innovative product concepts and commercial opportunities to customers and internal teams.

Working collaboratively with suppliers to understand manufacturing capabilities and develop future product pipelines.

Supporting seasonal trend reports, creative publications and internal innovation initiatives.

Ensuring product development projects are well organised, documented and delivered on time.

Who are we looking for?

We'd love to hear from someone who has:

At least 2 years' experience in food product development.

A genuine passion for food, confectionery, innovation and consumer trends.

Experience working directly with customers, ideally within the food manufacturing or retail sector.

Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.

A creative, proactive and commercially aware approach.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

The confidence to take ownership of projects and work as part of a collaborative team.

Experience working with major retailers such as M&S, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons or Costa would be particularly advantageous, as would previous experience in confectionery.

You'll also need a full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle and the flexibility to travel within the UK and occasionally Europe.
