Job Description:
At Regions, the Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO) Project Manager at this level is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of small to moderately complex technology and business initiatives across the organization. This role manages project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and dependencies while ensuring adherence to enterprise technology standards, governance practices, cyber security requirements, and other applicable policies. This role collaborates with business leaders, technology teams, vendors, and stakeholders on a routine basis.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages small to moderately complex technology projects and cross-functional initiatives from initiation through implementation, ensuring completion within established scope, schedule, and budget parameters
- Develops and maintains project plans, timelines, task lists, and documentation to support successful delivery
- Coordinates project activities across assigned business, technology, operational, and vendor teams
- Monitors project progress, deliverables, and milestones, escalating issues and risks as appropriate
- Supports the identification, documentation, and tracking of project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies
- Ensures adherence to established project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, etc.), software development life cycle (SDLC) requirements, and organizational standards
- Assists with governance activities, including related documentation, approvals, status reporting, and required reviews
- Partners with stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate project updates, and support project execution
- Coordinates testing, implementation, training, and transition-to-support activities
- Maintains project artifacts and records in accordance with audit, compliance, and documentation requirements
- Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, project management best practices, and team knowledge sharing
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related field and two (2) years of project management experience
- Or High School Diploma or GED and six (6) years of project management experience
- Experience developing project plans, schedules, budgets, status reports, and executive summaries
- Experience managing technology-related initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups and cross-functional teams
- Experience supporting audit, compliance, and regulatory initiatives
Preferences
- Applicable certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Institute Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), etc.)
- Experience in banking and/or financial services
- Experience managing infrastructure, application development, cyber security, and/or enterprise technology initiatives
- Experience working within regulatory and/or governance-driven environments
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to identify risks and develop practical mitigation strategies
- Ability to interpret and apply organizational policies, procedures, and technology requirements
- Broad understanding of enterprise technology environments, infrastructure, applications, data management, and cyber security practices

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities
- Familiarity with project portfolio management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills
- Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of technology governance frameworks, risk management practices, and cyber security standards
- Working knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile, Waterfall, Kanban, and Hybrid delivery methodologies

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
