We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team and support payment processing, vendor reconciliations, audit requirements, and day-to-day Accounts Payable operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, validate, and process scheduled and ad-hoc payment runs accurately and within established timelines.
- Review payment files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance before release.
- Verify invoices against tax requirements, company policies, and supporting documentation.
- Investigate and resolve payment rejections, discrepancies, and processing issues in a timely manner.
- Perform vendor statement reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
- Maintain accurate payment records and supporting documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documents, samples, and explanations.
- Respond to vendor and internal stakeholder queries regarding payment status, remittances, and payment-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies, payment issues, and process blockers.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance process efficiency, accuracy, and reduce rework.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Finance Operations is preferred.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy and reconciliation skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage high transaction volumes and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with good written and spoken English.
- Experience with ERP systems, SAP, banking portals, or payment platforms is an advantage.
