Join the team at Oakes Farms Seed to Table, where food, hospitality, entertainment, and memorable customer experiences come together. We're looking for experienced, energetic, and guest-focused Barback who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and take pride in delivering outstanding service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

• Stocking: Restock liquor, beer, wine, and other beverages as needed to ensure a sufficient supply during peak hours.
• Supply Management: Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies such as napkins, straws, glassware, and ice, and replenish as necessary.
• Cleaning: Keep the bar area clean and tidy by wiping down counters, collecting empty glasses and bottles, and disposing of trash.
• Assisting Bartenders: Assist bartenders in preparing and serving beverages promptly and accurately.
• Maintaining Equipment: Ensure that bar equipment, such as blenders, taps, and refrigeration units, is clean and in working order.
• Compliance: Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policies to maintain a safe and legal environment.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with bartenders, servers, and other staff members to provide excellent service and support overall operations.
• Additional Tasks: Assist with special events, promotions, and other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a barback or similar role is beneficial but not always required.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Regularly lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in hot, humid, cold, and other varying environmental conditions.
• Ability to work around fresh food products, cleaning agents, and moderate amounts of dust without adverse allergic reactions.
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach, and move throughout the work area.
• Ability to safely use a step stool or ladder when necessary.
• Maintain balance and stability while carrying beverages and performing daily tasks.
• Demonstrate manual dexterity for preparing beverages, garnishing drinks, operating bar equipment, and handling cash.
• Ability to reach overhead, at waist level, and below the waist.
• Effectively communicate with guests and team members in a loud, fast-paced environment.
• Possess adequate vision (near, far, and peripheral) and hearing necessary to safely perform job duties.
• Must wear employer-approved, slip-resistant footwear.
