Description
We are recruiting on behalf of our client is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Business Analyst / Associate Requirements Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who enjoys collaborating with stakeholders, documenting business requirements and supporting the successful delivery of innovative digital solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear, structured functional requirements.
- Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, user journeys and other business analysis artefacts.
- Analyse business processes, data flows and system requirements to support effective solution design.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, testing, configuration and delivered solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups and retrospectives.
- Support solution testing by working closely with development and testing teams to ensure requirements are accurately implemented.
- Identify risks, dependencies and opportunities for process improvement while maintaining clear communication across delivery teams.
Requirements:
- NQF Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Analysis, Engineering, Commerce or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Business Analyst, Junior Business Analyst, Associate Requirements Engineer, Systems Analyst or in a similar role.
- Working knowledge of business requirements elicitation, user story development, acceptance criteria and process modelling.
- Understanding of BPMN, UML, Agile or SAFe methodologies, with relevant training or certifications being advantageous.
- Exposure to APIs, data modelling, system integrations and Agile delivery environments will be beneficial.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication and documentation skills.
- Highly organised, collaborative and comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
