ABOUT THE ROLE
The Director of Finance will work with a newly acquired portfolio company, with primary ownership of its financial reporting, analysis, and debt reporting to the bank financing the acquisition. Working directly with the acquired company’s finance team, you will ensure financial integrity, disciplined forecasting, and full compliance with the terms of the acquisition financing.
This is a standalone role without direct reports. You will work alongside the in house finance team of the portfolio company and with the broader CORA Finance organization. The position reports directly to the EVP Finance of CORA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an important member of our Finance team, you will:
- Own standalone financial reporting: deliver timely, accurate standalone financial statements for the acquired entity in compliance with IFRS.
- Revenue recognition: ensure proper revenue recognition under IFRS 15 including project and software-contract accounting and the supporting controls.
- Analysis & insight: deliver variance analysis and commentary that explains results and informs decisions for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lender reporting: prepare and submit the periodic reporting package required under the credit agreement, including compliance certificates and supporting schedules.
- Covenant monitoring: monitor, calculate, and forecast financial covenant compliance (e.g., leverage, fixed charge coverage) and flag risks early with recommended actions.
- Quarterly bank engagement: serve as a primary quarterly point of contact with the lender, presenting results, forecasts, and covenant position.
- Liquidity management: manage the cash flow needs of the business, including short- and medium-term liquidity forecasting and working capital efficiency.
- Debt service: manage scheduled amortization, interest, and any mandatory prepayment mechanics under the facility.
- Own the year-end standalone audit: manage the standalone audit process end to end, including planning, PBC coordination, technical positions, and delivery of audited financial statements.
- Controls & standardization: drive best practices in financial processes, internal controls, and policy standardization to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
- Value creation: provide financial guidance to improve return on invested capital (ROIC), working capital, and business performance.

- Direct ownership of the lender relationship for an active acquisition financing.
- Work alongside 70+ members of the CORA Finance team and the extended Jonas Finance team.
- High-growth portfolio making significant investments to grow — high internal exposure across CORA and Jonas.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- CPA designation.
- Audit experience gained at a Big 4 firm with a focus on public clients, and 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Technically strong in IFRS, with particular emphasis on revenue recognition
- Strong command of the primary financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Experience with debt covenant reporting, lender relationships, or carve-out / standalone reporting is a strong asset.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships and interact with all levels of management.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to set priorities and respond professionally to changing priorities and ad hoc issues.
