Job Description

As a Security Officer Dispatch Communications in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Dispatch Security Professional at a commercial real estate location, you will coordinate responses to security-related incidents, monitor communications and access activity, and support officers and site personnel with timely information. Your visible presence and professional communication will help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, access concerns, maintenance-related issues, and other incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor communications systems, cameras, alarms, and/or access control notifications; document activity and escalate concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel, emergency responders, and/or management as needed.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and shift records while helping to support orderly operations throughout the property.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
