Description
The McLane College of Business offers several undergraduate business degrees including the BBA, BA, and BS. Students in the BBA program can select one of ten majors including Marketing, Management, Entrepreneurship and Small Business, Accounting, and Finance. The College also offers several business minors. Marketing is one of the largest majors in the College. The Management, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing Department also provides instructional support to the College’s other undergraduate and graduate programs, including the MBA. The McLane College of Business programs are accredited by ACBSP.
UMHB is conveniently located in Belton, a historic town of 23,000 in the heart of central Texas. Nearby cities are Temple (5 miles), Waco (45 miles), Austin (65 miles), San Antonio (130 miles) and Dallas/Ft. Worth (130 miles). Excellent schools, abundant cultural and recreational opportunities, and a high quality of life are hallmarks of the local community.
Faculty Responsibilities: Activities required of all faculty include exemplary teaching, curriculum development, student recruitment and advising; professional attainment; and service to department, college, university, and the community.
Specific Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Marketing and related areas. The normal teaching load is 12 hours per semester and may include graduate courses.
- Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University’s mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
- A Doctorate in Marketing or a closely related field is required; ABD will be considered (tenure-track status requires terminal degree in hand).
- Related professional certifications and professional marketing experience are preferred.
- Excellent teaching and communication skills, dedication to professional attainment, and commitment to quality improvement are essential.
- Must agree to the University’s Employee Statement of Understanding.
