Senior Structural Engineer
Location: Rotterdam
Full time working hours
Office based 3-4 days per week
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a leading engineering environment on an initial 12-month contract, with a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent position.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial building projects, including leisure developments, educational facilities, and similar large-scale structures, within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver structural engineering design across a variety of commercial projects
- Produce and review structural calculations and design documentation
- Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers, supporting their development
- Oversee project delivery, ensuring quality, compliance, and deadlines are met
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including preparing and reviewing technical reports in Dutch
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Structural Engineer within commercial building projects
- Strong background in structural design and detailed calculations
- Experience working on projects such as leisure facilities, educational buildings, or similar developments
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and mentor junior engineers
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines
- Fluency in Dutch (both written and reading) is essential for report handling and communication
