What You Will Do?

Business Partnership & Decision Support

• Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders (e.g., Directors, VPs), translating financial data into actionable business strategies

• Participate in leadership forums (e.g., BRMs, townhalls) and provide commentary on business performance

• Proactively guide leaders through trade-offs, investment decisions, and risk mitigation plans

Performance Management

• Leverage performance data (shared by Global FP&A & FDI) to uncover key drivers, identify opportunities, and recommend corrective actions that support informed business decisions.

• Drive discussions on risks & opportunities and track key initiatives that impact profitability, growth, and cash flow

• Lead the financial sign-off of business performance for assigned function/segment

Forecast & Target Alignment

• Collaborate with Global FP&A during planning cycles to validate business assumptions, strategic inputs, and non-financial drivers

• Support target setting for business areas by connecting operational knowledge with data-driven insights

• Represent the business in aligning forecast assumptions with market trends and operational realities

Commercial Support & Business Cases

• Provide targeted financial insight, analysis, and strategic guidance to Operations, Commercial, or Supporting Functions to drive performance, optimize resources, and support decision-making.

• Review, challenge, and co-develop business cases for new initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities

• Provide ROI analysis and help prioritize initiatives that create financial and operational impact

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build cross-functional relationships with leaders across verticals/segments in Hempel

• Act as the liaison between business units and centralized finance teams (Global FP&A, GBS, Group Finance)

Ensure consistency and clarity in how business assumptions are translated into financial outcomes

• Forecast reliability and ownership within assigned segment

• Improvement in segment profitability and margin optimization (including OPEX efficiency)

• Effective identification and realization of risks and opportunities

• High stakeholder satisfaction and trust in finance partnership

• Quality, relevance, and timeliness of financial insights and business cases

• Cash flow optimization, including strong focus on Net Working Capital (NWC

What Are We Looking For?

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

• MBA or master’s in finance (preferred)

• 6+ Years experience in similar role

Other skills and experience:

• Brings advanced expertise in Commercial / operations / supporting functions finance, guiding leaders with actionable financial insights that support function-wide decisions.

• Develops and interprets complex models and scenarios to evaluate strategic choices and recommend trade-offs.

• Effectively influences cross-functional stakeholders, even amid uncertainty, while presenting to both finance and non-finance audiences.

• Leverages deep understanding of financial systems and BI tools to improve reporting quality and decision-making.

• Drives collaboration across teams, supervises professionals when needed, and ensures accountability for outcomes.

• Contributes to the development of new approaches, tools, and processes within the function.
