The Mission

Global Customer Data (GCD) powers secure, seamless banking by ensuring customers can access and use the right data, products, and services, whether for themselves or on behalf of others. Our data services are part of the customer journeys in ING’s mobile, web, and assisted channels across Retail, Business, and Wholesale Banking.

As Product Manager, you will lead the multidisciplinary feature squad that turns this mission into scalable mandate management services. You set the direction, build on the momentum, and bring squads together to deliver solutions with global impact.

• Mandate management services: enables people and organisations to access and use their banking products and services, as well as authorise others to do so. It is a core capability with high visibility and significant potential to further enhance the banking experience.

• Data services: put these rights into action through customer-facing journeys and robust APIs on our OnePAM platform.

• Feature squad: brings product management, customer journey expertise, and engineering together to transform ideas into working services, supported by our platform squads.

Your challenge

As Product Manager, you take mandate management from ambition to adoption. You define where the product needs to go, align squads and stakeholders behind that direction, and drive delivery of scalable services that can be used across ING. Working at the intersection of customer needs, business priorities and technology, activities include:

• Shape the product definition and translate it into a focused, outcome-driven roadmap

• Drive delivery from discovery and design through implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement

• Bring feature squads, platform squads, customer journey experts, engineers, architects, and business stakeholders together around shared outcomes

• Navigate dependencies, risks, and competing priorities while maintaining pace and focus

• Create clarity and momentum through effective decision-making and transparent communication

• Use data for measurable outcomes, adopt AI and steer the product forward

What we would like you to bring to the team

We are looking for an analytical driver who thrives on turning complexity into action. You take ownership, create structure, pace, and keep delivery moving—while using strong interpersonal skills to ensure trust, challenge constructively, and bring people together.

Knowledge and experience:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree

• Relevant experience in product management, change management, software development, business analysis, and/or consultancy

• A sharp analytical mind and the energy to master a complex product and technology landscape quickly

• A proactive, outcome-driven approach: you spot what matters, create structure, and turn it into action

• Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build trust, navigate competing interests, and bring people together

• Experience working with application development teams, engineers, and customer journey experts

• Clear, concise, and compelling communication, both verbally and in writing

• Mandate management expertise is appreciated, yet curiosity, learning agility, and the drive to make the domain your own matter more

• Curiosity to adopt AI in working processes to accelerate outcomes

• Fluency in English
