Controller – Manufacturing
Northwest Fort Worth, TX | On-Site
A growing privately held manufacturing and fabrication company with approximately $15 million in annual revenue is seeking a hands-on Controller to take ownership of the accounting function, improve current financial processes, and support continued growth.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Assistant Controller, Plant Controller, Accounting Manager, or Controller who enjoys getting into the details and improving how things are done.
Responsibilities
- Own general ledger, AP/AR, reconciliations, payroll oversight, month-end close, and financial reporting.
- Clean up and strengthen existing financial records, documentation, processes, and internal controls.
- Manage manufacturing cost accounting, job costing, WIP, inventory, labor/overhead allocation, and margin analysis.
- Partner with operations to improve job profitability, inventory accuracy, and financial visibility.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash-flow projections, and management reporting.
- Develop practical financial and operational KPI reporting.
- Play a key role in the company's QuickBooks-to-NetSuite conversion, including data cleanup, migration, process improvement, testing, and reporting.
- Supervise and develop accounting staff.
Qualifications
- 7–12 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
- Controller, Assistant Controller, Plant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar experience.
- Manufacturing, fabrication, industrial equipment, or related operational experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, job costing, WIP, inventory, and gross-margin analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes, reconciliations, controls, and reporting.
- ERP implementation/conversion experience preferred; NetSuite is a significant plus.
- Advanced Excel and strong financial systems skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
