Job Description

As a Transportation Security Officer: Full Time Tablet Patrol Logs in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for travelers, visitors, and staff. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and report observations using computer or tablet tools. Requirements:

• 18+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam

 

 What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and public agency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, public areas, restricted access points, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access activity and observe people, vehicles, and/or property throughout the location, documenting security-related incidents and escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Support orderly operations by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and reporting maintenance, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.

 

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and airport personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout airport facilities, terminals, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific procedures and applicable regulations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence, observation, and timely reporting of suspicious activity or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
