Job Description

As a Transportation Security Officer: Airport Patrol Public Assistance in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for travelers, visitors, and staff. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity and professionalism. Requirements:

• 18+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam

 

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, perimeter locations, and adjacent grounds to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, restricted areas, and pedestrian and vehicle traffic in accordance with airport procedures; report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and documentation procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or designated airport representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs. is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
