About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Shift Process Operator to support the ongoing operation and upkeep of site infrastructure at our Cataby operation. The Cataby mining operation is located near the Town of Dandaragan, approximately 150 kilometres north of Perth.
The role is critical to ensuring inspection, maintenance, and improvement activities are completed to the required standard, helping maintain a safe and compliant site while supporting future operational readiness.
This is a site-based permanent position working a 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster.
Your accountabilities will be:
Conducting routine inspections and monitoring of tailings storage facilities to ensure ongoing compliance, risk management, and operational integrity
Completing plant and infrastructure inspections to identify defects, deterioration, and maintenance requirements before they impact site readiness
Supporting maintenance activities, including the replacement and repair of process and water management pipework
Assisting with the installation and commissioning of future tailings management systems and associated infrastructure projects
Implementing and maintaining effective surface water management controls to minimise environmental risk and protect site assets
Undertaking site improvement works to enhance safety, reliability, housekeeping, and overall facility condition
Supporting maintenance planning and execution activities to maintain critical infrastructure and equipment
Assisting in the development, verification, and maintenance of the isolation database required to support safe and efficient site restart activities
Maintaining operational readiness by ensuring plant and infrastructure are preserved in a condition that supports future recommencement of operations
About You
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Front-end loader / Skid steer / Forklift licenses / HR licence is desirable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to conduct risk assessments (Job Hazard Analysis, Take 2) and adhere to Safe Work Instruction guidelines
Demonstrated control room knowledge and capability to conduct control room operations
Proficient in operating Citec, SCADA systems or similar
Pumping operations with priming, basic fault finding, restarting, and shutting down correctly
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision as well as part of a small team
An ability to adapt to changes in work priorities to respond to production requirements
Demonstrated commitment to further training and skills development
