About the Opportunity
The Information Technology (IT) function is seen as an important enabler to the achievement of HammondCare’s mission. This is driven by the requirement of the organisation to meet the changing needs of people with complex health or aged care needs and our employees within a growing geographically diverse organisation and across a continuum of care.
The Test Lead is responsible for defining, coordinating, and executing testing activities across complex digital transformation and customer service technology initiatives. The role ensures that new platforms, integrations, workflows, and customer-facing capabilities are delivered with the quality, stability, and reliability required to support HammondCare's care, operational, and service delivery outcomes.
Working across multiple workstreams, vendors, and delivery teams, the Test Lead provides leadership for quality assurance practices, ensuring solutions are thoroughly tested across applications, integrations, data flows, business processes, and user experiences. The role partners closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors, and subject matter experts to ensure technology solutions are fit-for-purpose and ready for production deployment.
Operating within Agile and project delivery environments, the Test Lead establishes testing standards, coordinates testing resources, manages risk, and drives continuous improvement in testing maturity and delivery quality.
Key Focus Areas:
Test Strategy & Quality Assurance: Define and implement testing approaches that ensure solutions meet functional, integration, performance, security, and business requirements
End-to-End Solution Validation: Coordinate testing across platforms, integrations, customer service technologies, business applications, data, and operational processes
Delivery Risk Management: Identify quality risks early, manage defects effectively, and provide clear visibility of testing readiness and deployment confidence
Testing Capability & Continuous Improvement: Establish testing standards, improve testing practices, and build quality assurance capability across delivery teams
This is a maximum term contract for 12 months based at St Leonards with hybrid working opportunities.
What you will be doing
Define Test Strategy and Planning: Develop test strategies, plans, schedules, and quality assurance approaches aligned to project objectives, risks, and delivery timelines
Lead End-to-End Testing Activities: Coordinate functional, system, integration, regression, user acceptance, and operational readiness testing across multiple technology solutions and workstreams. Look to automate where possible
Manage Testing Across Complex Integrations: Ensure end-to-end validation of integrations between customer-facing systems, enterprise platforms, workflow solutions, data services, and third-party applications
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Partner with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to plan, execute, and complete user acceptance testing activities
Manage Defects and Quality Risks: Establish defect management processes, monitor remediation progress, and ensure quality risks are proactively identified and addressed
Validate Business Processes and Customer Journeys: Ensure end-to-end business processes, customer interactions, workflow automation, and operational procedures perform as expected across multiple systems
Provide Release Readiness Assurance: Assess testing outcomes and provide recommendations regarding deployment readiness, outstanding risks, and production release decisions
Work with Delivery Teams and Vendors: Collaborate closely with project managers, business analysts, developers, architects, external vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure quality expectations are met
Establish Testing Standards and Governance: Implement consistent testing methodologies, documentation standards, quality controls, and reporting across initiatives
