What you'll do...
Role summary:The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves interpreting technical schematics, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Technician leads and mentors team members, manages service calls, and supports preventive maintenance programs to optimize system performance. Effective communication with customers and collaboration with management are essential to deliver reliable facility services while adhering to company standards and operational procedures.

What you'll do:
- Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels, ensuring compliance with building codes and operational standards.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues across commercial and industrial equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration units, walk-ins, and HVAC systems
- Conduct inspections and maintain documentation in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, including refrigerant handling protocols.
- Lead and mentor field teams, providing technical guidance and promoting safety practices.
- Coordinate service calls, manage workload using digital tools, and communicate effectively with customers and management.
- Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments within assigned regions and participate in on-call rotations.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration.
- Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Skilled in operating heavy machinery and company vehicles safely, with valid documentation and adherence to maintenance policies.
- Effective communication skills to explain technical issues and collaborate with customers, management, and team members.
- Experience leading field teams and mentoring technicians on technical procedures and safety practices.

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $58.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.Option 2: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
