JOB DESCRIPTION:
Design and Development: Engage in the design and development of both new and existing software components. Make recommendations to technology leadership to enhance software functionality and performance. Automation Requirements: Define and prioritize automation needs, including build processes, testing, and security, from a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) perspective. Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and develop strategies for incorporating these trends into our software environment. Application Analysis: Analyze software applications against technical and business specifications, ensuring compliance with established methodologies and standards. Development Lifecycle Participation: Contribute to the full development lifecycle by focusing on new features and functionalities, including service layers, integration, user interfaces, and data management. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and design expertise across various platforms, influencing the long-term technical vision and strategy for CDK products. Scalable Software Design: Advocate for software design that is scalable, resilient, maintainable, and stable. Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead efforts to collaborate with key stakeholders, offering subject matter expertise to develop innovative solutions for complex issues. Data Modeling and Enhancement: Plan and design data models, propose product enhancements, and recommend the adoption of new technologies. Provide guidance on optimizing software features and functionalities for end-users. 100% Telecommuting.
REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience as a Software Developer or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Using C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, MVC (4/5/6), Web API, RESTful services, WCF, and SOAP to architect, design, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and services; (2) Designing and implementing service-oriented and microservices-based backend architectures, including API contracts, inter-service communication, authentication mechanisms, and scalable application layers that support high availability and complex enterprise workflows; (3) Designing, optimizing, and maintaining relational and NoSQL data stores using PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB; (4) Developing modular, responsive, and high-performance web applications using Angular, React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript; (5) Implementing MVC-based architectures, RESTful services, and integrating with PostgreSQL databases, deployed on Heroku with CI/CD pipelines for production readiness and scalability; (6) Implementing secure and efficient data access and integration layers using Entity Framework, Dapper, LINQ, GraphQL, and OData; (7) Deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud-native applications using AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, and IAM; and (8) Building and modernizing automotive desking solutions that integrate pricing, financing, and incentives into fast, accurate, and scalable dealer workflows.
