Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain software components, features, and feature sets in a fast-paced agile development environment
- Translate product requirements and technical vision into implementation plans, user stories, and delivery tasks aligned to quality and timeline expectations
- Work with Product Line Leaders, architects, and engineering peers to understand product requirements, technical direction, and delivery priorities
- Contribute to technical design discussions and support the evolution of software architecture within the assigned scope
- Write code that meets quality standards and delivers the required functionality using the selected technology stack
- Apply software development best practices including SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, testing, refactoring, documentation, and secure software development principles
- Assess application performance and contribute to performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability improvements
- Work with core data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals to deliver effective solutions
- Support process improvements that strengthen development, sustainment, and support activities
- Work cross-functionally with other business and engineering teams to align activities, resolve issues, and support delivery commitments
- Drive high standards of quality in the development and support of software products
- Proactively share information with the appropriate audience at the right level of detail and timeliness
Education Qualification
For roles outside the USA: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with advanced professional experience
For roles in the USA
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with a minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience
OR - Master’s degree in Computer Science or in a STEM major with a minimum of 2 years of professional software engineering experience
OR - PhD in Computer Science or in a STEM major with a minimum of 1 year of professional software engineering experience
Desired Characteristics
Technical Expertise
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related STEM field is preferred
- Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux-based programming environments
- Experience delivering software projects in the energy domain, including Energy Management, Oil & Gas, or Power & Water, is a plus
- Experience with modern software development tools, CI/CD practices, testing, and software quality disciplines
- Certified Scrum Master and/or Product Owner is a plus

- Demonstrates initiative in exploring alternate technologies and approaches to solving problems
- Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements, and estimating effort

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $111,200.00 and $166,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
