Turner Industries Group is looking for a Health and Safety - Programs Assistant for work in the Baton Rouge, LA area. The HSE Programs Assistant is responsible for working within the Corporate HSE Department to assist with design, development, and implementation of environmental, health and safety databases, policies and programs. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, is self-driven and works well within cross-functional team environments. The ideal candidate also takes pride in his/her analytical abilities, organization skills and attention to detail. Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with HSE compliance and management systems, preferably to include both field-based and corporate level positions; and
• Candidates must be extremely proficient in all Google Workspace and Microsoft Office products;
• Candidates must have the ability to prioritize tasks, learn quickly, and effectively communicate verbally and in writing with employees and managers.
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

 

Functional Requirements:

• Assists with the maintenance of Health and Safety databases including analyzing data and reporting on trends;
• Assists with training field safety personnel on the HSE databases;
• Manages and maintains third-party compliance management systems, including ISNetworld, Avetta, and Veriforce, ensuring company profile, documentation, and reporting requirements remain accurate and up to date.
• Assists in maintaining the HSE training program and associated documentation;
• Acts as a point of contact for updates to Corporate and Site specific HSE policies and procedures;
• Assists with the maintenance of online updates to policies and procedures for adhering to federal, state and local health, safety and environmental regulations;
• Assists with the maintenance of accurate information and advice on the Google Health and Safety web page; and
• Works with the Corporate HSE Department and Information Technology to ensure that electronic innovations remain on target.

 

Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
