Credit Controller

The Role –  

PIB is a growing group of insurance advisory businesses and is seeking a Credit Controller to join its busy team based in Retford. The purpose of this role is to collect due and overdue monies associated with our client’s insurance policies. This includes any voice activity required when dealing with clients, agents and Introducers.

This role is instrumental in protecting our clients’ money under the CASS 5 rules whilst providing an efficient and compliant service to our stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing: 

• Ensure a seamless handover from the QX team, where voice activity is required to continue the credit control process.
• Management of own workload effectively prioritising to achieve agreed KPI’s and quality standards.
• Support and work with other members of the extended IBA team to achieve departmental objectives
• Responsible for fully investigating and resolving queries linked to debt in a timely and accurate manner
• Work with key internal and external partners to achieve a positive outcome
• Participate in debt meetings with internal and external key stakeholders
• Participate in ad hoc tasks and projects as required
• Proactively identify and support continuous improvement opportunities
• Support audit and other information requests as required

What we’re looking for: 

• Previous Credit Control Experience essential
• Experience in making outbound calls
• Understanding of P&L and the impact on overdue debt
• Understanding of business operations and key teams, e.g. SDT
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Proactive query management
• Be able to work to strict deadlines
• Knowledge of multiple systems including Acturis, Websure, Applied Epic, TAM
• Proven record of working to and achieving agreed KPI’s
• Excellent attention to detail
