About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of Business Banking at BOQ Group.

As Head of Asset Finance - Product, you'll take end-to-end ownership of a key Business Bank product domain, leading strategy, commercial performance, portfolio outcomes and customer experience across the lifecycle. This is a newly created leadership role designed to help transform how Business Bank operates, grows and competes in a rapidly evolving market.

Reporting to the Business Bank Product Domain Owner, you'll bring together product strategy, portfolio management, transformation and market insight to deliver sustainable growth and improved customer outcomes. You'll be responsible for balancing commercial performance, risk and long-term strategic priorities, with accountability for portfolio growth, margin performance, portfolio health and customer lifecycle improvement.

While you'll lead a small team of product specialists, your impact will extend far beyond your direct reports. Success in this role will come from your ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge established thinking and bring an external perspective into the organisation. You'll stay closely connected to market trends, competitor activity, customer needs and industry developments, using those insights to help shape strategy, product evolution and future investment priorities.

About You

You are an experienced banking or financial services leader with a strong background in product management, portfolio ownership and strategic leadership. Whether your expertise sits within commercial lending, asset finance or a related product discipline, you've successfully led products or portfolios where growth, profitability, risk management and customer outcomes all matter equally.

You combine commercial acumen with strategic curiosity, constantly looking outward to understand what's changing in the market and how organisations need to adapt to stay relevant. You're comfortable owning complex product and portfolio decisions, managing trade-offs and influencing outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups.

Importantly, you're an exceptional influencer. You know how to build credibility with executive leaders, challenge traditional ways of working and gain support for new ideas, even in environments where change can take time. You've led transformation initiatives, driven customer and process improvements, and can navigate ambiguity while maintaining focus on outcomes.

You'll bring strong commercial judgement, sound risk management capability and a passion for creating better experiences for customers and bankers alike. Most of all, you'll see this as an opportunity to leave a lasting mark on the future direction of Business Bank and help shape what comes next.
