Description
Kick-start your career in the online gaming world and experience the very latest in technology and innovation.
Who we are
We’re Super Group, the NYSE-listed digital gaming company behind some of the world’s leading Sports and iGaming brands, including Betway and Jackpot City. We’re a powerhouse built on decades of expertise and we’re changing the game for good. Our mission is to give our customers a superclass entertainment experience.
Who we’re looking for
We’re on a thrilling journey of growth and innovation, and we need passionate, driven individuals to join us. At Super Group International, every day is action-packed, and we expect you to bring your A-game. In return, you’ll find a supportive environment where your skills can flourish and your career can soar.
Ready to become a game-changer? Supercharge your career with us and be part of something extraordinary.
Why we need you
Timely, accurate finance data lets Super Group's leadership make fast, confident decisions across its regulated, multi-market betting operations, and keeps reporting compliant with the financial and regulatory obligations of a listed group. Delays or errors in that data flow directly undermine forecasting, controls, and stakeholder trust
If you’re hungry to grow, excited by impact and ready for a challenge that will supercharge your career, this could be your moment.
As our Head of Finance Data Delivery, you’ll own the end-to-end delivery of Group Finance Data across Super Group Africa and International – balancing data operations and processing for month-end close with a bold portfolio of modernisation initiatives. You’ll work hand-in-hand with our Data Engineering leaders, leading through influence rather than direct authority, and be the single point of accountability for how our finance data delivery runs. Your drive and ideas will help us move faster, improve smarter, and stay ahead of the game.
What you’ll do
You’ll take ownership of work that gives us our competitive edge, including:
Own end-to-end finance data delivery.
Own delivery of all Group Finance Data processes across Super Group Africa and International: acquisition, enrichment, matching, aggregation, transformation and publication to our single ERP platform.
Guarantee month-end delivery within business-day deadlines, personally overseeing close-cycle readiness checkpoints, support and post-close reviews.
Lead through influence, not authority.
Partner daily with the Heads of Data Engineering (Africa and International) to align priorities, sequence demand and resolve resource conflicts early.
Own the “what, when and why” of delivery, while engineering leaders own the “how and by whom”.
Own the modernisation portfolio.
Scope, sequence and transparently report on initiatives to rebuild legacy data packages and pipelines.
Champion continuous improvement – better transparency and reporting.
Keep the ecosystem controlled and audit ready.
Ensure data flows into the ERP and downstream reporting are complete, accurate and auditable.
Establish and uphold robust controls, governance and support the audit process.
Run the delivery cadence and senior stakeholder relationships.
Set and run a weekly delivery dashboard for the Director, showing status, forward trajectory, blockers and agreed actions.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders, senior management and external audit, acting as the trusted escalation point during data incidents.
This list covers your core responsibilities – with plenty of room to stretch, explore and take on new challenges as we grow.
What you’ll bring
You’re someone who brings:
Clear, confident communication (written and verbal), and the ability to breakdown complex ideas
A collaborative mindset, working smoothly with cross-functional teams to hit shared goals
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects without dropping the ball
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
Adaptability – you stay sharp, productive and positive in fast-moving environments
Strong working knowledge of ETL/ELT data pipelines, data transformation and data quality management in high-volume environments
A track record of delivering through teams you do not directly manage – matrix leadership, shared planning, and disciplined stakeholder influence
Strong senior stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align finance and technology priorities
A relevant Bachelor’s degree (Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or a related field); a postgraduate qualification (Honours, PGDip or MBA) is advantageous
Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve
It would be great if you also have some the following skills:
In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
Experience in financial services, insurance or other regulated industries
5 -8 years’ experience in data management, data delivery or technology programme leadership (in industry or consulting)
Experience with modern cloud data platforms and orchestration/monitoring tooling
A programme management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, Agile/Scrum)
Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics Business Central) and downstream financial reporting
Experience running medium to large scale data modernisation initiatives
