Software Development Engineer I-2

       

• 3-5 years of administration, configure, upgrade, and support mainframe development tools (like ISPW) and utilities experience.
• Provide operational support for critical tooling platforms and ensure high availability.
• Strong knowledge of JCL, SDSF, ISPF, CA7, TWS/OPC/IZWS, VSAM, Cobol, ISPW
• Participate in on-call rotations and support major infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
• Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies for mainframe modernization.
• Implement solutions such as ZOWE, VS Code integrations, APIs, and developer productivity platforms.
• Enable the adoption of AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Glean, and similar platforms.
• Support initiatives involving APIs, scripting, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Build integrations between mainframe and distributed/open systems platforms.
• Proven experience in CI/CD design and automation (Jenkins, Azure Devops, Chef).
• Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python,JavaScript, and PowerShell).
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows through AI and automation.
