As one of the Central Coast’s most recognized design studios and winner of numerous regional and national awards Job OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to join and lead our Design team. You will be primarily responsible for handling all design projects; from conception to the final stage. As a Senior Designer, you will be assigning tasks and supervising Junior Designers/interns in delivering quality artworks.You will be responsible for providing creative feedback and ensuring proper management of the workflow. Moreover, you will be coordinating with the Art Director and ensuring freelance Typesetters and Illustrators to meet deadlines. Similarly, you will be communicating with the Marketing Department to create graphics for any promotional/marketing content.If creating visually appealing and user-friendly graphics is your power, then we would love to have you on board.ResponsibilitiesPlanning and managing all stages of the design projectsEnsuring delivery of high quality and original artworksAssigning tasks and reviewing submissions of Junior Designers, interns, and freelancersSuggesting and making creative alterations to projectsCoordinating with the Design team in generating new and innovative design ideasDesigning different types of graphics like infographics and illustrations as per the clients briefMaintaining brand consistency and voice in the projectCommunicating with the Marketing team for creating any promotional graphicsAssessing the productivity and quality output of the Design teamProvide a timeline upon assessing the clients’ needs and preferencesSelecting and maintaining appropriate materials for artwork like ink, paper, and coloursLiaising with freelance service providers like Cartographers and Illustrators to manage urgent projectsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Illustration or similar field5+ years of experience as a Graphic Designer, Visual Designer, or relevant fieldA complete portfolio of all design projectsFamiliarity with design software like Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Fireworks, and Sumo PaintAbility to supervise/manage team members and freelancersKnowledge of graphic design techniques and latest trendsAn eye for detailStrong sense of color combinations, fonts, and layoutExcellent communication and time management skillsGood organizational skillsAbility to work under pressure and in a competitive environmentUnderstanding of digital and print artwork requirementsGood analytical and decision-making skills The Wecker Group is proud of its consistently high standards and effective, memorable results.
