Msuez Uk is a leading company in the mining and natural resources industry, with operations in various countries around the world. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resource Assistant to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa.

As a Human Resource Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our HR team in various administrative and operational tasks. Your main responsibilities will include maintaining employee records, processing payroll, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, and providing general support to the HR department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, attendance, and leave records
• Process payroll and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees
• Assist with recruitment processes, including job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks
• Coordinate new employee onboarding, including completing necessary paperwork, conducting orientation, and setting up employee profiles
• Provide general support to the HR department, including answering employee inquiries, maintaining HR systems and databases, and preparing HR-related documents and reports
• Assist with employee performance evaluations and training programs
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local labor laws and regulations
• Participate in HR projects and initiatives as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining or natural resources industry
• Strong understanding of HR principles and practices
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR software systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of local labor laws and regulations is preferred
