JOB DESCRIPTION:

YOUR ROLE AS A: Manager, Data Analytics

We are seeking a highly technical Data Analytics Manager who pairs deep data querying expertise with strong business understanding to lead insight generation across our Google Cloud ecosystem. In this role, you will act as a technical subject matter expert who understands overall operational context—writing complex SQL queries, exploring raw cloud datasets, and extracting meaningful insights that align with company objectives. You will partner closely with Data Engineering teams to co-design and initiate data activities, pipelines, and structures, while utilizing advanced Excel analysis and technical PowerPoint presentation skills to communicate findings to both technical teams and functional business pillars.

WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:

• Data Exploration & Business-Centric Insight Extraction: Perform deep-dive, ad-hoc, and diagnostic analyses on raw BigQuery datasets to uncover underlying operational drivers, structural trends, anomalies, and actionable insights rooted in a solid understanding of core business operations.
• Data Engineering Collaboration: Partner directly with Data Engineers to scope, initiate, and design data activities—including new data ingestion pipelines, staging tables, and optimized target schema designs tailored to answer key business questions.
• BigQuery Querying & Performance Tuning: Write, optimize, and maintain complex, highly efficient SQL queries across partitioned and clustered datasets in Google BigQuery to support large-scale analytical workflows.
• Technical & Business Translation: Bridge the gap between engineering and functional pillars by combining domain/business understanding with technical expertise to translate complex data architecture and analytical output into technical slide decks (PowerPoint) and structured models (Excel).
• Data Transformation & Modeling (dbt/Dataform): Build robust analytical tables and data transformation models using dbt or Dataform to streamline reporting, metric standardization, and self-service analytics aligned with functional KPI frameworks.
• BI Architecture & Dashboard Engineering: Design, build, and maintain production-grade dashboards, reporting layers, and self-service environments using Looker, Looker Studio, and GCP integrations.
• Technical Presentation: Deliver clear, structured presentations to technical engineering teams and non-technical partners, clearly explaining data methodologies, root causes, business context, and analytical findings.

• Experience Level: 7+ Years
• Core Tech Stack: Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, GCP Data Stack, Looker/Looker Studio), SQL, dbt/Dataform, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint
