Field Delivery Manager - Appliances

Compensation for this role is 65,000- 75,000 The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.

As a Field Delivery Manager, Last Mile Operations at RXO, you will support and optimize home delivery operations across locations within assigned territory.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• As the day-to-day field leader, you will work closely with independent contract carriers, client stakeholders, dispatch teams, and warehouse personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries.
• Success in this role requires strong operational leadership, relationship building, and the ability to influence performance without direct authority.

• Drive operational performance across multiple delivery sites and client locations.
• Monitor key operational metrics including On-Time Delivery (OTD), Voice of Customer (VOC), Overall Satisfaction (OSAT), and service-level performance.
• Conduct ride-behinds and field audits to evaluate safety, delivery quality, evaluate installation of appliances, customer experience, and compliance.
• Coach independent contract carriers and delivery teams to improve performance and service execution.
• Support daily loadouts, route planning, dispatch operations, and issue resolution.
• Serve as the primary RXO representative for day-to-day client interactions and relationship management.
• Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to support field operations and maintain strong carrier and client relationships.
• Identify future capacity needs and support carrier recruitment, onboarding, and network expansion initiatives.

 

What you’ll need to excel:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

•  4+ years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, home delivery, or field operations. Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Willingness to travel regularly within an assigned territory.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle in accordance with all applicable laws and company policies

 

It’d be great if you also have:

• Experience in last-mile delivery, home delivery, transportation, retail fulfillment, or multi-site logistics operations.
• Experience working with independent contractors, owner operators, or third-party service providers.
• Familiarity with routing software, transportation management systems (TMS), and operational reporting tools.
• Strong customer service mindset with experience managing client relationships.
• Knowledge of safety, compliance, and quality assurance programs within transportation or logistics environments.
